The masses apparently gives no thought to the hacking of water treatment plants and other potential dangers posed to them. Take for example Atlanta GA has only TWO public water treatment plants, If one of those very old plants goes down, Atlanta is the worst type of sitting duck. Pay attention!! Atlanta, obviously, a predominantly black city, has 211 PRIVATELY OWNED water treatment plants and NONE are black owned....

 

 

When you factor in enviromental racism into the equation the situation that black people in America find ourselves in illustrates a need for great concern. Multiple federal studies from various agencies highlight the fact that while black people are 14% of the population, we represent 34% of the nation's water shutoffs.These federal reportshave concluded that Blacks and Native Americans pay significantly higher overall costs for energy that ANY other racial group in the U.S.

 

Now, consider that the water quality in those same communities is significantly worse than the water in the communities of our white counterparts. i.e as we have seen in Flint MI and Jackson MS. where black people are being charged up to $36,000.00 for water that is NOT fit for human consumption.

 

The dumping of toxic waste such as PFAS laced water into creeks, pasturs, lakes etc in areas where predominately black people, other people of color, and poor and even middle class white people reside has been comonplace for decades.

Most of the relatively few schools across the U.S. that have actually been tested for lead in the drinking water had failed miserably! Meaning, that the levels of lead that black and poor children are exposed to far exceeds the federal action limit. However, there was no accountability on state or federal levels. 

 

Another major truth that has gone right over most of our brothers and sisters heads like an umbrella, is the documented fact that over 75% of the nuclear power plants in the U.S. leak radioactive tritium into the ground water!! The water treatment plants in our communities aren't equiped with the catalytic carbon or nano fiber media necessary to remove the radiation, resulting in 170 MILLION Americans literally drinking radioactive tap water according to the Environmental Working Group (EWG). As I always say, get your Michael Myers on and take a wild stab in the dark who's communities are disproportionately and.... coincidentally, ofcourse, located in the closest proximity to those nuclear power plants?

 

You see, the water treatment plants in our communities use the most basic and I do mean basic type of wood based carbon to "treat" the water we receive. Have you ever burned wood until it was completely black? THAT black substance left behind is carbon and this type of carbon can contain harmful chemicals that was once absorbed by the tree when it was alive and is NOT generally recommended for drinking water. States seemingly can never find enought funds to utilize coconut shell based - Granular Activated Carbon. GAC. Which is a few dollars more per ton. The next step up is catalytic carbon which is GAC that undergoes additional treatment like heating it to 1200 degrees. catalytic carbon can also be regenerated and reused, which would save cities and states a lot of money....

They told us that the hack affected 16 million tap water users. But in the same breath told We The People that "Noone's drinking water was affected by the hack." How the hell could both statements be true? Fox 2 in Missouri reported that their residents should not drink tap water because the hack released  dangerous chemicals into the water. Fox 2 later pulled the story......
